A ceremony to celebrate the launch of Zhenyun Award was held at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) in Hohhot on May 9.

Zhenyun Award is named after Yang Zhenyun, wife of Wu Jie, to commemorate Yang's contribution to the development of education and art in China.

“The award aims to encourage undergraduates and postgraduates of art to create more artworks,” said Yun Guohong, president of IMNU speaking at the ceremony.

The establishment of the award would promote the art development of IMNU, Yun added.

He expressed his hopes that students at IMNU would continue to pursue the breakthroughs and innovations in art.

A donation ceremony of Wu Jie's publications was held the same day.

Wu Jie, son of Ulanhu, a former vice-president of China, is a pioneer of systematic philosophy. His publications integrating theory with the economic situation of China, are of great guiding significance.
