Hosted by Inner Mongolia conscription office, the launch ceremony of Inner Mongolia's military recruitment of college students was held at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) on April 25.

Gao Yunfeng, deputy secretary of the CPC Party Committee of IMNU, Wang Huizhong, deputy director of the department of education of Inner Mongolia and Tang Hongqing, deputy director of the mobilization bureau of Inner Mongolia military region attended the ceremony, as well as over 500 IMNU students.

The recruitment of college students is important for China's national defense and security. The national government and the regional government have enacted a series of preferential policies for enlisted college students, including paying tuition fees, special admission into civil service exams, and financial support after graduation.

Gao emphasized the importance of the recruitment of college students for the development of the Chinese military, and encouraged responsible college students to join the army.

He expressed his appreciation for IMNU's efforts to recruit students since 2014, resulting in 446 students joining the army.

Wang discussed the details of the recruitment procedures and Tang talked about the benefits that college students get from being recruited.
