Three more PhD programs added at IMNU

Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) has recently added three more PhD programs, according to a notice issued by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Ministry of Education on March 27.

The three disciplines are ethnology, Chinese language and literature, and geography. At present, there are five programs at IMNU authorized to recruit doctoral candidates.

Three new postgraduate programs in the disciplines of foreign linguistics, physics, and public management were also announced.

The university, founded in 1952, is one of the key universities in Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Praised as "the cradle of ethnic education", it is a comprehensive normal university focused on the development of ethnic education.

Over the years it has developed a multi-disciplinary system to train more than 200,000 students.
