IMNU professor honored with Polaris Award

Dai Qin, a professor at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) was awarded the Polaris Medal by President D. Regdel from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) in Mongolia on March 12.

The Polaris Medal launched in 1936, is Mongolia's highest honor granted to foreigners for their contributions to the national economy, security, defense, and culture.

 “The award is also given to people who have made great contributions to promoting Mongolian studies,” said Regdel.

 “I hope that Dai Qin will continue to dedicate himself to research and training skilled workers for Mongolia,” he added.

 Dai, from the History of Science and Technology Research Institute at IMNU said that the award was a huge honor.

 “The honor is not only for me, but for all the experts and scholars focused on promoting Mongolian culture and Sino-Mongolia exchanges,” he noted.

Last year, Nonnaizab from IMNU was awarded the Polaris Medal by officials from Mongolia's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Culture on Nov 24.
