Yunnan University leaders visits IMNU

A delegation led by Zhang Liang, dean of the School of Ethnology and Sociology at Yunnan University (YNU) visited Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) to seek cooperation and exchange ideas on Jan 4.

Zhao Donghai, vice-president of IMNU extended a warm welcome to delegates from YNU. He introduced the advantages and achievements of ethnology research at IMNU.

During the meeting, Zhao also stressed the importance of working with YNU to publish a blue paper on the subject.

Zhang Liang urged comprehensive cooperation with IMNU in the near future.

"IMNU offers a good example for promoting research on ethnology," said Zhang at the meeting.

He said that YNU was looking forward to cooperating with IMNU in establishing a training base for postgraduate students.

Qin Yanjia, deputy dean of the Department of Anthropology at YNU, introduced the base for anthropological fieldwork at YNU, expressing hopes of further cooperation with IMNU on anthropology.

The two sides agreed to sign a framework for cooperation in April for common development.
