The Preschool Education Research Institute, established in July 2016, is a university-level institute responsible for promoting research on preschool education at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU).

The institute has seven research centers, including the Research Center for Psychological Development of Pre-School Children, Research Center for Language Development of Pre-School Children, Research Center for Music and Dance Education of Pre-School Children, Research Center for Art Education of Pre-School Children, Research Center for Health and Physical Education of Pre-School Children, Research Center for Kindergarten Education, and the Research Center for the Training of Principals and Teachers.

Guo Fuchang is the head of the institute. He is also the vice-president of China Soong Ching Ling's Early Development Association. At present, there are more than 70 part-time researchers working at the institute.
