Yun Guohong, president of Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU), recently led a group of faculty members to Fayetteville State University (FSU) in the United States.

The visit came at the invitation of the FSU president, James A. Anderson, and ran from Nov 7 to 12.

President Yun attended the Sino-US Presidents’ Forum where he made a speech on global cooperation and the future of higher education. Then he participated in a ceremony to celebrate FSU’s 150th anniversary of its founding.

During the visit, Yun, together with other presidents at the forum, attended a Mongolian-style show performed by teachers and students from FSU’s school of music. The show was reported by some local mainstream media organizations such as the Fayetteville Observer.

Yun and FSU leaders discussed further cooperation between the two universities.

FSU was one of the earliest universities with which IMNU developed built ties. Cooperation between the two institutes has developed over recent years.

FSU is a public comprehensive regional university in Fayetteville, North Carolina, offering degrees at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels. It is the second- oldest state-supported school in North Carolina with a history dating back to 1867.
