The opening ceremony of 2017 "The Belt and Road Initiative" Inner Mongolia International Youth Football Winter Camp was held at Inner Mongolia youth football training base in South China's Hainan province on Dec 18.

 Bai Xiangqun, vice-chairman of Inner Mongolia government, Yun Guohong, president of Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU), representatives and leaders from Inner Mongolia and IMNU, and foreign coaches from England and Serbia attended the opening ceremony.

"IMNU and Wuhan Institute of Physical Education have started the construction of a big data platform to collect and analyze the training data of players attending the winter camp in 2017," said Yun Guohong, making a brief introduction of the winter camp during his speech.

Yun added that the integration of a scientific training system and big data platform will help the young players improve during the training session.

The High School Championship (U17) Final, organized by the Sports Bureau and Education Department of Inner Mongolia, was held the same day. More than 300 football players from 12 teams in the region participated in the final competition.
