Two teachers from the Liberal Arts College at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) made prominent contributions to the International Symposium on Wen Yiduo, which was held from Nov 11 to 14 at Waseda University in Tokyo.

More than 30 experts and scholars from China and Japan gathered at the university to exchange ideas on the famous Chinese poet and scholar. Those in attendance included Wang Wan, a researcher at the Institute of Modern History under the Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS), Virginia Anami, the wife of former Japanese Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami, former deputy secretary-general of the China Education Association for International Exchange, Lin Zuoping, and President Chen Guoen of the Wen Yiduo Research Institute of China.

Zhang Zicheng and Fu Xiliang of IMNU were invited to participate and impressed the attending scholars with their papers on Wen Yiduo.

Zhang explored the academic achievements of Wen Yiduo's study of poetic theory, and research on legend and drama, while Fu delivered an analysis of Wen Yiduo's writings on mythology. Their papers helped demonstrate IMNU's many research accomplishments.
