Green energy projects boom in IMNU

Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) has continued to realize the vision of innovative, coordinated, green, open and inclusive development, and to make the promotion of clean energy a reality over recent years.

In 2014, IMNU began using solar energy heating systems in the university's Saihan campus dormitories. The systems can provide up to 200 tons of hot water to students every day. A photovoltaic power generation project was also launched at the Shengle campus that same year. The two projects earning wide acclaim among teachers and students.

Construction of the solar energy heating system at Shengle campus was completed at the end of August this year. The system passed the acceptance check made by senior engineers from the Hohhot Urban and Rural Construction Commission and Inner Mongolia University of Technology on Oct 17.

The heating system can provide 100 tons of hot water to students at the Shengle campus every day.
