Psychological Education Research Center

The Psychological Education Research Center at Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) was founded in October 2013. It was approved as a key research base on humanities and social sciences in Inner Mongolia autonomous region by the education bureau of Inner Mongolia.

The center has six institutes including a research institute on physical and mental development of ethnic minority children, behavior training and psychological evaluation, mental health education, cross-cultural developmental psychology, a key psychology laboratory, and an editorial department of magazine, Research on Psychological Education.

There are a total of 25 researchers at the center, including 8 professors, 11 associate professors, 4 PhD supervisors, and 10 postgraduate supervisors. It has built a professional team with highly qualified researchers.

Its projects have achieved a lot of support at national and regional level. Two projects received sponsorship from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, while five other projects also received support from the National Social Science Foundation. Two projects were listed as social science projects under the Education Ministry of China and six projects were sponsored by the Natural Science Foundation and Natural Science Foundation in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The center has published more than 140 papers in journals like the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD) and the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI). It has also published five academic publications.

The center is responsible for the publishing of Psychological Education, an internal publication organized by Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology and Inner Mongolia Psychological Society to promote academic exchange in the region.
