The launch ceremony of the extracurricular teaching system was held at Shengle campus in Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) on Oct 19.

Liu Jiuwan, vice-president of the college; Zhang Baocheng, director of Publicity Department; Li Chunhui, deputy director of the Teaching Affairs Office; and other officials, counselors, and student representatives attended the launch ceremony.

Jia Shiqi, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee presided over the ceremony and briefly introduced the background, purpose and overall plan of the extracurricular teaching system.

IMNU will promote the extracurricular teaching on the basis of classroom teaching to cultivate more high-end and comprehensive talents, said Li Chunhui, emphasizing the balance of the two teaching methods.

"Dedicated support is needed to ensure the implementation of the system," said Liu Wanquan.

He noted that all departments in the college should work together to explore new teaching methods based on the growing needs of students.

A training session on the application of the new system was also held the same day.
