On the morning of September 22, Inner Mongolia Normal University held the opening ceremony of the "Jintong Cup" Silk Road International Collegiate Football Invitational Tournament at its Shengle campus.

The ceremony was followed by an opening match between Inner Mongolia Normal University and the National University of Mongolia, won by IMNU 4-2.

In two other competitions, the Peking University team and the Inner Mongolia University team lost 0-1 to Mongolian State University of Education and Lomonosov Moscow State University respectively.
