IMNU Teachers' musical work wins 'Five Ones' Project Award

The curtain dropped on the 14th China's Inner Mongolia Grassland Cultural Festival on September 3 at Hohhot's Wulanqiate Grand Theatre in Hohhot. During the closing ceremony, a number of awards were presented, including this year's best drama, outstanding comedy sketches and awards for screenwriting, directing, composition and performance. The 13th"Five Ones" Project Award for promotion of cultural and ethical development in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was also announced. 

The Mongolian song Harmonious Home created by two teachers of Inner Mongolia Normal University won the "Five Ones" Project Award and was the school's only award-winning work at the festival.

Initiated by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the "Five Ones" Project is a key and leading project to promote cultural and ideological progress in China. Established in the autonomous region in 1994, the award celebrates works in seven categories covering music, dances, movies, TV dramas, plays, radio dramas and books.

The winners of the award were selected from 306 qualified works by strict criteria and procedures.

The works are people-oriented and based on daily life. They promote traditional culture and national spirit in artistic ways and help people understand the meaning of life.
