2017-09-15

A signing ceremony between Inner Mongolia Normal University and Aliyun, a cloud computing affiliate of Alibaba Group was recently held in Hangzhou of Zhejiang province anticipating establishment of a big data school in IMNU.

This was achieved during a visit by an IMNU delegation to Alibaba's headquarters in Hangzhou. Led by Yun Guohong, president of IMNU, the delegation met with Wang Xiaofei, executive of Aliyun, and Liu Quan, chairman of QST, a vocational and IT education training company. They exchanged views and eventually agreed to establish a university-company partnership and to work together to build the IMNU Aliyun Big Data School.

Under the agreement, the school will gradually introduce Aliyun's company training platform, courses, project examples, and computing and big data labs to meet students' internship and training needs.

"This is the first cooperative trial between Aliyun and an Inner Mongolia university. IMNU will speed up development of the data science industry through merging university and company advantages to help release big data's scientific and industrial potential, enabling big data to fully function in technology, social management, government services and the economy," said Yun.
