Huzhou, a key hub for green energy industries in East China's Zhejiang province, is making significant strides in exporting sustainable solutions.

Huzhou has developed a comprehensive lithium battery industry, encompassing key materials, cell manufacturing, system integration, and recycling. According to Huzhou Customs, over 5,400 batches of lithium battery packaging were certified last year, marking a 47 percent increase from the previous year.

Huzhou Ruiju Lighting Technology has prepared a shipment of solar street lamp components, valued at 2 million yuan ($288,296), destined for Southeast Asia. These components, equipped with lithium batteries, have passed inspection by Huzhou Customs, which issued the necessary certification for the safe packaging of hazardous materials.

Huang Zhengbing, the foreign trade manager at Ruiju Lighting, highlighted the company's focus on clean energy innovation. Its solar lamps feature smart energy-saving controls, reaching markets in Southeast Asia and Europe, and export orders of the lamps have doubled in the past two years.

Zhejiang Chilwee Chuangyuan Industry, based in Huzhou, has exported a batch of lithium-ion batteries to South America.

Xia Ruiqiang, project manager at Chilwee Chuangyuan, said that a new battery leasing project in South America is expected to boost the company's exports by 50 percent.

With a focus on motive and storage battery categories, the company's products are exported to Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. The company saw a 59 percent increase in sales of lithium-ion batteries last year.
