Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has made huge strides in every field in the past few years, including the development of infrastructure, culture, and people's livelihoods.

In 2015, Hohhot's GDP reached 309.05 billion yuan ($46.3 billion), while per capita GDP rose to 106,000 yuan. This puts Hohhot among the most prosperous capital cities among China’s autonomous regions.
