Hohhot and Ulaanbaatar strengthen ties with exchange MOU
A delegation led by Khishgee Nyambaatar, the mayor and chief executive of Mongolia's capital, Ulaanbaatar, visited Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from Nov 21 to 24.
The delegation toured key sites, including the M-Grass Ecology and Environment Group, Hohhot Planning Exhibition Hall, and Bandingying Wastewater Treatment Plant, gaining insight into Hohhot's expertise in urban planning, ecological restoration, and wastewater treatment.
During the visit, Hohhot and Ulaanbaatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Creating a Model for China-Mongolia Friendly Exchanges. The agreement aims to benefit the residents of both cities, with plans for collaboration in food processing, green chemical development, desertification control, urban construction, and cultural tourism.
This milestone solidified Hohhot and Ulaanbaatar's partnership and deepened the friendship between China and Mongolia. The two cities will adhere to equality, openness, mutual benefits, and shared success, striving to create a cooperative model that injects fresh momentum into China-Mongolia relations.
The visit and MOU signing highlight Hohhot's role in providing innovative solutions for urban development and cross-border collaboration and mark a new chapter in regional cooperation.
