This winter, Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, will become a winter wonderland, inviting visitors from across the country to experience the region's unique charm. Starting in November, Hohhot's winter tourism activities are packed with exciting highlights, unique attractions, and curated travel routes.
At the heart of this season's events is the 4th Hohhot Happy Ice and Snow Festival, themed "Ice and Snow Fairy Tale in Qingcheng". The city has introduced a "4+3+N" winter tourism model, featuring four core highlights – ice, snow, theater, and cuisine – three major events, comprising the festival's opening, New Year's Eve, and Lantern Festival, as well as a variety of activities across Hohhot's scenic spots. Key areas like Saishang Old Street, Dahei River, and Chilechuan Grassland will host over 220 events, including ice sculptures, snow sports, and live performances.

Three unique travel routes will be launched, each inspired by winter magic, history, and celebration. Daheihe Military Cultural Park offers immersive ice and snow-themed performances for families and young travelers. Meanwhile, Mazongshan Ski Resort will feature family challenges, snow sculptures, and night festivals.
Hohhot will also run promotions for winter tourism, collaborating with platforms like Meituan to offer discounts on tickets, hotels, and restaurants. This will ensure a festive winter season for all.
