The 2024-25 Hohhot Winter Ice and Snow Activities Promotion Conference took place in Beijing on Nov 1 and 2, inviting travelers to embrace Hohhot's unique winter charm. The theme "Song of Inner Mongolia: Snow Joy in Qingcheng" highlighted key winter activities, showcasing Hohhot as a magical ice-and-snow kingdom ready for exploration.
Hohhot's winter season kicks off this November with the fourth Hohhot Ice and Snow Festival as its main event. The city has organized a "4+3+N" model, focusing on one ice experience, one snow adventure, one cultural performance, one food festival, three holiday highlights (New Year's Eve, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival), and numerous citywide winter events. Over 220 activities across popular sites, such as Saishang Old Street and Chilechuan Grassland, will bring visitors an immersive winter experience.
Three specialized tours – "Snow Adventure", "Cultural Journey", and "Winter Celebrations" – offer tailored options. Daqinghe Military Cultural Park will feature family-friendly activities and ice-snow shows. Mazongshan Ski Resort is preparing to host events like the "Hot Snow Winter" season with races, exhibitions, and parties.
To encourage winter tourism, Hohhot has also launched consumer promotions with discounts on tickets and vouchers, supported by Meituan and UnionPay, ensuring an affordable winter wonderland experience for all.
