Zhaojun Culture Festival opens in Hohhot with exhibitions, performances

On Aug 23, the 25th Zhaojun Culture Festival commenced in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The opening ceremony featured the Beauty of Integration exhibition, which showcased cultural relics from Zhaojun's journey to the frontier and launched a cultural tourism route inspired by her legacy.
Attendees were then treated to a stunning performance of the immersive ethnic dance drama Zhaojun, which offers a rich blend of artistry and cultural heritage. The festival, a significant event in Hohhot, aims to celebrate Zhaojun's contributions to cultural exchange and promote unity and friendship among diverse ethnic groups.

This year's festival coincides with the 10th Chinese Exposition of Museum and Relevant Products and Technologies, which is also being held in Hohhot.
The festival includes 25 unique activities across five themes, such as immersive performances, cultural exchanges, and interactive experiences. Special events, like the "Northern Rhythm, Colorful Chilechuan" dance show, offer visitors a deeper understanding of Hohhot's history and culture, enhancing the city's cultural profile.
