The Yili Grassland Dairy Culture Museum has been elevated to National Level Museum status by the China Museum Association, becoming the sole industry-specific museum in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to receive the prestigious honor.
As China's only museum dedicated to tracing dairy culture's evolution, the museum is said to uniquely showcase the northern grassland milk culture's historical narrative alongside modern dairy manufacturing processes.
Moreover, it is also said to serve as a vital educational platform, offering insights into the history of China's northern nomadic ethnic groups, grassland milk culture and the dairy industry's development.
