In recent years, with the continuous growth of Hohhot's "six major industrial clusters", such high-tech and fully intelligent production scenes have become increasingly common.

Presently, the "Smart Qingcheng" platform has been integrated into 109 units of equipment and 333 systems across the city, enhancing accessibility, applicability, and coordination throughout various sectors. The application scenarios for this platform cover five major areas: economy, government affairs, culture, society, and ecological civilization. Hohhot is building a digital network to provide robust data support for the development of its artificial intelligence sector.

Hohhot ranks15th in the country in terms of computing power development. In recent years, the city has successfully hosted the China Green Computing Power Conference and established the Hohhot Green Computing Power Development Research Center.
