As the new year begins, major enterprises in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have been accelerating production and expanding their market presence.
This year, Hohhot plans to implement over 1,100 key projects that have an investment target of over 150 billion yuan ($20.84 billion).
Horinger county stands out for its construction of a key national production base for agricultural and animal products, having already introduced over 70 renowned domestic and international food enterprises. The county is aligning with the city's ambition to create a billion-yuan-level green agricultural and animal product processing industry cluster that will accelerate the development of dairy, meat, vegetables, and seed source industry chains.
By focusing on biopharmaceuticals, new energy materials, and advanced equipment manufacturing, the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone has strategically developed 11 segmented industrial chains. It aims to lay out a blueprint for strategic emerging and future industries. This year, the zone plans to implement over 100 projects that will each have investments of more than 5 million yuan.
In the first two months of this year, the zone's industrial added value from enterprises of a certain scale is expected to reach 7 billion yuan, marking a 29.6-percent year-on-year increase.
