The Inner Mongolia Dairy Technology Research Institute has been honored with the titles of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Demonstration Base for Technology Achievement Transfer and Transformation, and Leading Technology Enterprise in Hohhot City.

The twin titles were bestowed by the science and technology management departments at both the autonomous region and city level.

The selection process was based on an assessment of its capabilities in technology management, technology achievement transformation, as well as its so-called innovation team and talent development.

The scope of assessment mainly includes an enterprise's management of technological innovation projects, industry-university-research cooperation, intellectual property management, technology transfer, technology consulting, technology commercialization platforms, the construction of "innovation teams", and talent introduction and cultivation.

The dairy research institute, a professional institution under Yili Group, is engaged in research, development, and technical services in the field of dairy product technology. It operates 19 research and technology platforms, including the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Deep Processing of Dairy Products, and the National Dairy Processing Technology Research and Development Professional Sub-Center.

The institute collaborates with more than 300 dairy industry experts, academicians, and high-level talents on dairy technology research.

After years of development, it has become the largest specialized research institute for milk and dairy products in Asia, with branch offices in Hohhot, Beijing, Shanghai, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Japan.
