The Horinger County Modern Agricultural Industrial Park was awarded the title of 2023 National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Dairy Industry Cluster was awarded the title of 2023 Advantageous and Characteristic Industrial Cluster, according to the Hohhot agriculture and animal husbandry bureau.
Both projects are located in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced the lists of approved establishments from April 4 to 6.
The dairy industry is widely viewed as one of Hohhot's most competitive and dynamic areas of business. The city is steadily expanding its green agricultural and livestock processing industry clusters, with the whole dairy industry chain as the core. Hohhot will build and implement 94 major related projects with a total investment of 40 billion yuan ($5.84 billion) this year.
On this basis, the city has dedicated itself to building a world-class dairy industry circle. Efforts are being made to complete and implement the Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley, as well as the Mengniu Dairy Industry Park projects.
Additionally, the city also plans to add an additional 600,000 cows by 2025, expand its pasture planting areas, improve pasture quality, and promote technology innovation.
