Chinese dairy giant Yili Group – based in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – recently donated supplies to help the city fight the latest outbreak of COVID-19.

Yili donated daily necessities to front-line workers and delivered milk, yogurt, cheese, mineral water and other products to the front line of community prevention and controls and to schools in the urban area.

Yili donated the Jinlingguan series of infant milk powder, mother milk powder and infant care products in a timely manner to Hohhot First Hospital, Hohhot Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and other hospitals.

In order to provide nutritional supplements for middle-aged and elderly patients in the hospitals, Yili donated nutritional milk powder for them to Hohhot No 1 Hospital and sent care to more people in need.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Yili has invested a total of 380 million yuan ($53 million) in virus prevention and control efforts.

Some 60 million yuan of that was donated that year to the China Red Cross Foundation, to support its epidemic prevention and control work in Inner Mongolia and Hohhot.
