Raft of projects signed at major Hohhot agricultural expo
A total of 593 projects were signed at the 30th Inner Mongolia International Agricultural Expo which concluded on Aug 15, according to local media reports.
Letters of intent and provisional sales topped 860 million yuan ($127 million), while actual on-site turnover reached 267 million yuan.
Around 80 percent of the exhibitors signed contracts to do business, while more than half the exhibitors booked their stands for the next exhibition early. Most of the orders were for agricultural materials, water-saving irrigation, animal feed and specialty agricultural and forestry products.
The three-day expo received 25,000 visitors. It featured seven exhibition areas for regional public brands, agricultural materials, water-saving irrigation, agricultural and animal husbandry machinery, veterinary drugs and feeds, agricultural and forestry products and financial services.
The exhibition area covered 20,000 square meters. More than 500 agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry and water enterprises took part and set up more than 700 stands.
Among them were businesses with 116 high-tech projects and 293 patented technology products.
