Yili Industrial Group Co – based in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – remains the most valuable dairy brand in the world.

That's according to the Top 10 Most Valuable Dairy Brands of 2022, the prestigious annual industry list released on Aug 10 by UK-based Brand Finance – one of the world's leading independent branded business valuation consultancies.

Yili was also ranked among the best in the world in terms of brand potential, according to Brand Finance, thanks to its strategy of building a smart dairy industry and promoting a healthier global ecosystem.

Yili listed its shares on the stock market in 1996, and by 2020, it had become one of the top five dairy companies in the world. In 2021, its revenue topped 100 billion yuan ($14.84 billion). Yili's financial performance has maintained a long-term steady growth trend.

In recent years, Yili has accelerated its construction of a series of modern dairy industry clusters in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Heilongjiang, Henan, Shandong, Hebei and other places across the country.

Of these, the Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley has the world's largest and most digitally intelligent benchmarking facility for intelligent manufacturing – while national technology centers, such as the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center and the National Dairy Product Measurement and Testing Center, have successively been rolled out.

The group projects that by 2035, a comprehensive improvement of ecological, social and economic benefits can be achieved. It is projected that by then the annual GDP contribution of the Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley will hit 198.2 billion yuan.
