Hohhot city records economic growth in H1

The city of Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region got top marks in economic achievements in the first half of 2022, according to local media reports.

From January to June, the regional GDP of Hohhot reached 166.37 billion yuan ($24.59 billion), and the added value of industries above a designated size increased by 2.8 percent year-on-year.

The fixed-asset investment completed 29.42 billion yuan. The general public budget revenue was 13.54 billion yuan. The per capita disposable income of its residents stood at 21,595 yuan.

In the first half of the year, the GDP of Tumd Left Banner was 12.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9 percent. The investment in fixed assets was 4.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 249.5 percent, ranking first in the city in terms of growth rate.

The growth rate of five indicators in the banner including regional GDP and total retail sales of consumer goods was higher than the city's average.

In the first half of the year, the GDP of Xincheng district was 33.66 billion yuan. The added value of industries above a designated size was 125 million yuan. The fixed-asset investment completed 4.97 billion yuan. The general public budget revenue was 1.85 billion yuan. The per capita disposable income of all residents reached 27,284 yuan.
