Hohhot city reports new progress made in COVID-19 control

On March 9, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported three new local COVID-19 cases, all of them identified in Hohhot city, capital of the region.
Elsewhere, a total of 20 new local confirmed cases were cured and discharged from hospitals, including 19 in Hohhot and one in Baotou city.
As of 24:00 on March 9, there were 148 local confirmed cases in the autonomous region, including 114 in Hohhot and 19 in Baotou.
All patients are being treated in isolation in designated hospitals, while all close contacts are placed under centralized isolation and medical observation in designated places, to strictly prevent the spread of the epidemic.
