Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co, or Yili Group – headquartered in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – on Feb 25 donated 100 million yuan ($15.84 million) for the city's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

This marked the fifth donation made by Yili Group in the wake of the current round of the COVID-19 outbreak in Hohhot.

As a local enterprise that grew up in Hohhot and went global, Yili Group has continued to expand and has been ranked first in the Asian dairy industry for eight consecutive years and rated among the top five in the global dairy industry.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Yili Group has acted quickly in times of crisis to lend a helping hand to its hometown.

In 2020, some 60 million yuan was donated to the China Red Cross Foundation alone, to support epidemic prevention and controls in Inner Mongolia and Hohhot.

To date, Yili Group has donated a total of 380 million yuan to the country's fight against the epidemic.
