Star athlete, Yili brand spokesman shines at Winter Olympics

Star Chinese athlete Su Yiming, 17, recently became the new brand spokesperson of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co Ltd – or the Yili Group – the top dairy company in China and the largest in Asia.

Su triumphed in the men's snowboard big air with a combined score of 182.50 points at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics on Feb 15 – winning the sixth gold medal for China in the games and achieving a historic breakthrough for China in the event.

Earlier, at the final of the men's snowboard slopestyle on Feb 7, Su also won the silver medal with a score of 88.70 – the best result ever for a Chinese athlete in this event at the Winter Olympics.

Su follows the precept that "fighting is shining", which is in line with Yili's brand values and its support for the Olympic Games.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics marks the 17th year of cooperation between the Yili Group and the Olympic Games.

In November 2005, Yili became the only dairy company in China that met the Olympic Games standards and it went on to provide services for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In August 2017, Yili Group joined hands with the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee to become the official and only dairy product partner for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

To date, Yili has been the only dairy company in China to serve both the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics.

Over the 17-year period, Yili has fully supported the long-term training and preparations of nearly 40 national Olympic teams, to help Chinese athletes shine in the international arena.
