Hohhot adds beauty to new urban getaway
An aerial picture taken on Aug 5 shows the lush greenery in the newly developed Shakeng Park, which literally translates to Sandpit Park. The park is located on the front slope of Daqing Mountain in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. In recent years, Hohhot has implemented a comprehensive ecological management project on the front slope of the mountain, transforming it into a new park with a total area of more than 12,000 mu (800 hectares).
