Hohhot keeps museums open amid epidemic prevention, control measures

Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has launched stricter COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures, according to local media reports.

The opening hours of Zhaojun Museum are from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:30, but no admission after 17:00, and it is closed on Monday, except on legal holidays.

Zhaojun Museum's current full-day limit is 30 percent of its maximum carrying capacity. Adults and children can make reservations through the museum's official website or the Zhiyou Hohhot official WeChat account one day in advance.

The opening time of the Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Museum is every Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 to 17:00, and admission will be closed at 16:00. As of now, a daily flow limit of 4,000 people has been implemented, and the instantaneous number of people in each themed exhibition hall will be controlled in real time and adjusted appropriately.

The Inner Mongolia Museum has suspended group visits for the time being.

The Hohhot Library also updated its admission policy, which started on Aug 6. Readers need to check their appointment code, itinerary code and temperature measurement, and enter the library with their ID cards.

A total of 250 people can enter the library every morning and afternoon.

The opening hours of the Inner Mongolia Library are from 14:30 to 18:30 on Monday, and from 08:30 to 18:30 from Tuesday to Sunday. The daily reservation number is limited to 1,000 people.

The Inner Mongolia Library has suspended various offline reader activities and closed the 24-hour self-service library service.
