Hohhot ranks high in green city development

Hohhot – capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – ranked 13th domestically for its green city development, according to the recently released 2020 China Green City Index Top 50 Report.

The Report was jointly produced by the China Investment Association Innovation Investment and Financing Professional Committee, Xinhua News Agency's Globe magazine, the Renmin University of China Eco-Finance Research Center, as well as by third-party green development rating agencies.
The study evaluated the green index of each city in terms of 25 sub-indices for the 10 major categories of living comfort, green transportation, air quality, water governance, energy consumption, waste reuse, environmental noise, health education, economic development and financial management.
