Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co, one of China's dairy industry giants – based in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – dominated the World Dairy Innovation Awards 2021. It was announced recently at the 14th Global Dairy Congress.

Yili received nominations for nine major awards and then moved on to win three awards in the best milk drink, best functional dairy product and best packaging design categories.

The group reportedly was the only award-winning dairy company from Asia and the number of its awards ranked it first in the international dairy industry.

The World Dairy Innovation Awards, held annually, is a competition that celebrates innovation and excellence across every category of the dairy industry. The event attracts the participation of the majority of global dairy companies and the results reflect the industry's cutting-edge trends and direction.

A total of 222 entries from 25 countries participated in this year's awards, in 20 categories.

In recent years, Yili has reportedly dedicated itself to providing healthy products for global consumers, contributing to the cause of human health. It produces dairy products with innovation as the driving force and pushes to create new achievements in a wider range of healthy food fields at the same time.

Meanwhile, over the last few years, Yili has actively deployed digital tools to establish digital models and big data systems. At present, it has established online information data platforms such as big data radar systems, product life cycle management systems, policies and regulations database systems and food safety risk assessment systems.

The Yili big data radar system currently covers 460 data sources and has accumulated more than 2 billion pieces of data. The effective data level has reportedly reached more than 90 percent of the entire network, realizing real-time capture and analysis of massive data.

It is understood that through the instant sharing of data, the company can promote products and services to better meet consumer needs.
