Hohhot international airport releases info on summer flight season
Hohhot Baita International Airport has been working with domestic airlines since March 28 to meet the growing travel needs of passengers during the summer season, according to local media reports.
During the summer flight season this year, the airport plans to operate 150 air routes to 87 domestic cities, and direct flights to 73 cities.
With the exception of Lhasa and airports in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, all airports in provincial capital cities and cities with independent planning status can be reached.
Flights to international cities and regions have not yet been scheduled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In April, airlines plan to operate 290 flights on a daily basis. But in July and August, some 360 flights are expected to be operated daily.
To make this adjustment, the airport has been striving to improve the network accessibility of routes outside the autonomous region.
Flights to Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang in Hebei province are scheduled to fly three times a day. Flights to Chengdu in Sichuan province, Chongqing, Wuhan in Hubei province, and Changsha in Hunan province will fly four times on a daily basis.
In addition, Hohohot airport will add three new destinations: Changzhou in Jiangsu province, Turpan in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and Xiangyang in Hubei province.
Flights to Quanzhou, Linyi, Nantong, Yancheng, Zhanjiang, Yan'an, Hami, Korla, and Aksu will be resumed.
