Hasuhai Scenic Spot

Located in an area administered by Hohhot, capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Hasuhai Lake is a natural lake, known as the "West Lake beyond the Great Wall".
The water surface covers 32 square kilometers and the water depth is about two meters. The bottom of the lake is overgrown with fertile water and is rich in grass carp, silver carp, carp, crucian carp, shrimp and crab.

According to staff members, in recent years -- with the protection of natural ecosystems in Hohhot and the improvement of people’s awareness about the need to protect the environment and cherish birds -- ecological conditions at Hasuhai have greatly improved and it has become a shelter for water birds. As a result, it has become an ideal place for birdwatching.
According to records, there are more than 10 species of teal duck, wild geese and swan geese in the scenic spot.
