Inner Mongolia Railway Survey and Design Institute Co
Founded in 1958, Inner Mongolia Railway Survey and Design Institute Co is the earliest and largest Class-A comprehensive body of its kind in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Engineering Design Integrated Qualification Class-A is the qualification with the highest level of engineering design qualifications in China, covering the broadest business areas and the most stringent requirements.
The Inner Mongolia Railway Survey and Design Institute is the only survey and design organization in the autonomous region with a comprehensive Class-A qualification for the railways.
During the 10th Five-Year Plan period (2001-2005), the company successfully passed the survey and design qualification renewal process and obtained Class-A certificates for railway engineering, engineering surveys, engineering consulting and engineering costs consulting.
In 2001, its quality management successfully passed ISO9001 quality system certification and in 2005 it passed the 2000 version transfer and occupational health and safety system certification. In early 2008, the company's environmental management system passed the GBT24001-2004 standard certification audit.
The company has participated and completed key projects.
It has taken part in the design and upgrading of the national railways, including the Beijing-Baotou alternate railway. It participated in the completion of large and medium-sized railway projects, such as the Dongsheng-Wuhai Railway.
The company has undertaken more than 100 independent large and medium-sized industrial and civil architectural designs, such as Baotou Railway Station’s station building and Chifeng Railway Station’s station building.
It completed 80 percent of the survey and design of highway and railway overpass projects for China Railway Hohhot Group Co.
It participated in the compilation of the Architectural Design Manual for Railway Houses and Railway Engineering Construction Design Manual—Water Supply and Drainage by the Ministry of Railways.
In recent years, more than 20 projects of the company have won national, provincial and ministerial excellent survey and design awards -- and more than 20 QC achievements have won national, provincial and ministerial awards.
