Dairy giant Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co Ltd -- Yili Group -- is to give employees a salary increase, even as some other companies are currently mulling wage cuts and suspension of wages in the wake of the harm done to business by the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

The company said it has been making every effort to improve employee care through low interest loans, to smooth things over and ensure the welfare and daily lives of its employees during the epidemic period.

For employees on the front line during the Spring Festival, the company issued a condolences red envelope. It also distributed milk to employees to help enhance their immunity.

Yili Group has also taken out Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Accident Insurance for all its staff.

To strengthen coronavirus prevention and control, Yili  officials made detailed plans on training employees how to wear face masks -- as well as how to disinfect elevators, office supplies and the office environment -- and how to better arrange meals and bus rides for employees at work.
