Yili to partner with major Uruguay dairy company

Fernando Lugris, Uruguay’s ambassador to China, Tian Wenjin, first representative of Conaprole in China, and Federico Lage, business attaché of Uruguay’s ambassador to China, were invited to the headquarters of Yili Industrial Group in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 28.

Pan Gang, CEO of Yili Group, granted Conaprole, the largest dairy company in Uruguay, membership to Yili’s Global Sustainable Development Supply Chain.

The two parties also signed a cooperation memorandum and are expected to further cooperate in areas such as technological development and sustainable industrial development.

Lugris spoke highly of Yili’s dairy culture and development model after visiting the company’s intelligent workshops and the Dairy Culture Museum.

“The Belt and Road initiative will help China and Uruguay overcome their geographical distance and boost communications and cooperation. Yili will cooperate with Conaprole in the future,” said Pan Gang.
