Minority culture tourism event in N China approaches

The opening ceremony for the 9th China Hohhot Minority Cultural Tourism Activities and the 20th Zhaojun Culture Festival will be held in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 12.
The China Hohhot Minority Cultural Tourism Activities have been used to showcase minority culture since 2011, and also serve as an important tool for integrating the Belt and Road Initiative with ethnic minorities. In addition, they have helped push forward cultural exchanges between ethnic minority groups.
For the past 19 years, the 20th Zhaojun Culture Festival has served as an excellent platform for showcasing the minority culture and profound history of Hohhot. The event has been widely recognized throughout the country.
Organizers said that folk performances, photography exhibitions, film showings, reading festivals, and 29 other activities will be held this year. The event will run until September.
