National equestrian game to open in Hohhot
The equestrian game of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of the People's Republic of China is set to be held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 12, according to a conference held on June 27.
The municipal government is currently busy preparing for the games. Three working groups have been established to ensure the progress of preparation.
According to the local government, the equestrian game will include speed racing, horseback riding and nine performance programs.
Local media reports said that nearly 2,000 people from teams in Hebei, Shanxi, Henan, Yunnan and other five provinces and autonomous regions will compete at the games.
The 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of the People's Republic of China is scheduled to open in Zhenghou, Henan province, in September. It will feature 17 games, of which 16 will be held in Zhengzhou.
