Yili honored with international innovation awards

Nutril-life Bottle, a product developed by Chinese dairy brand Yili, was honored at the 2019 Asia Food Innovation Awards by FoodBev Media, an international food and drink specialist, at a ceremony held in Singapore on July 18.

This was the second international innovation award given to Yili this year after its new ice cream product won a gold award at the SIAL China Exhibition in May. 

Ambrosial Greek Style Drinking Yoghurt in Orange Pulps & Pineapple Flavour, another Yili product, was also nominated for Best Concept at the ceremony.

The Asia Food Innovation Awards are designed to celebrate excellence and innovation in the global food industry, from manufacturing and ingredients to packaging and finished products. The highly regarded event is an excellent opportunity for global food producers to showcase their products to the entire industry and attract more publicity in the global market.

In the face of ever-changing consumer demands, Yili is eyeing new growth opportunities that target people’s preferences for new tastes and flavors.  

Pan Gang, CEO of Yili, has stressed the importance of innovation in an age of rapidly advancing technology. 

Technological leaps require expensive scientific equipment and large amounts of research funds. Yili developed an advanced testing method to evaluate its products and optimize them in accordance with consumer needs. In 2018, the company invested 426.9 million yuan ($62 million) into the research and development of new products.

Yili has also established various technological development and scientific research platforms around the world to propel technological innovation and the transformation of the global food industry.
