An evocative exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China was successfully held at Yuquan district in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 26.

The exhibition shone the spotlight on memorabilia and old items that recalled the daily lives of the locals in an earlier time. 

It displayed items such as old photos, appliances and household items, demonstrating how far the people's living standards had improved, and underlined the city's rapid growth.
