The Errentai art theatre of Hohhot national performing arts group performed shows at a school in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on March 14.
Errentai Opera, a traditional Chinese folk opera, originated in the middle of the 18th century.
Erren literally means two people and tai means stage. Errentai therefore refers to a folk performance performed by two people, usually one female and one male.
The event aims at promoting the traditional art among children.
The show demonstrates the traditional culture to students in a lively and humorous way, helping them learn the art closely, said a staff member from the art theatre.
