Mengniu makes Brand Finance Global 500 list
Chinese dairy producer Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy (Group) Co Ltd recently made it onto the 2019 list of "top 500 most valuable brands" released by Brand Finance.
The London-based business valuation consultancy Brand Finance valued over 3,500 brands across all sectors and geographies. This year Mengniu came 410th on the list.
Mengniu Dairy greatly advanced its various businesses by improving company structure, innovating marketing strategies and expanding sales channels last year.
As a leading player in the dairy industry, Mengniu Dairy achieved rapid growth in business over 2018. It built dairy technology innovation bases, organized the D20 summit and attended the first China International Import Expo last year.
As an official sponsor for FIFA, Mengniu has achieved great success in promoting the brand to the world.
At the end of 2018, Mengniu opened a manufacturing plant in Cikarang, Indonesia for production of its flagship product YoyiC liquid yogurt. It is Mengniu's second overseas factory following the first in New Zealand.
As of now, Mengniu has sold its products to nearly 10 countries and regions in south-east Asia with the factory's involvement.
The sales of Mengniu's products such as Deluxe Milk, Just Yogurt and Champion increased substantially over the past year. Its barnd Shiny Meadow, targeted at high-end markets, achieved a historical growth of 73 percent year-on-year.
This year, Mengniu will innovate and upgrade its products and build more partnerships with popular IP, especially with top variety shows to establish deeper connections with consumers.
It will also put forward international strategies to develop more emerging businesses.
