Yili honored for outstanding performance

China's leading dairy firm Yili Group was honored for its efforts to improve its brand image and develop a strong corporate responsibility strategy, during a summit held in Beijing, on Dec 8. 

Based on customer feedback, company management and leadership, China Enterprises Evaluation Association selected the top Chinese enterprises at the summit.

Yili, along with an additional 31 companies received recognition during the event.

Data from Kantar Worldpanel reveals that Yili's products were purchased 1.35 billion times last year, and the group enjoyed a leading consumer penetration rate.

The company, one of the largest and most diversified dairy producers in China, has grown rapidly this year. During the third quarter, the company achieved revenues of 61.3 billion yuan ($8.83 billion), up 16.88 percent year on year, while net profits were 5.05 billion yuan.

By the end of August, Yili liquid milk had a market share of 37.6 percent through offline retail channels.

The firm has also undertaken more social projects, in line with its corporate responsibility policy.

Attendees at the forum said that Yili, as an outstanding example of leading Chinese businesses, will continue to build its brand as a trusted international food provider.
