A delegation from the Sino-Dutch Dairy Development Center (SDDDC) visited Yili Group to discuss potential areas of cooperation on Oct 20.

Li Shengli, director of SDDDC led experts and executives from Wageningen University, Dutch dairy giant Royal Friesland Campina, Rabobank and dairy laboratory Qlip to visit Yili's liquid milk factories and dairy farms in Togtoh county.

Xu Ke, vice-president of Yili welcomed the delegation and outlined the company’s efforts in promoting coordinated development of the whole industrial chain in the dairy industry.

Xu noted that Yili has continued to provide financial and technical support to its milk producers for the sustainable development of both sides.

Members of the delegation spoke highly of Yili's innovative work in improving the quality of milk producers and building a community based on common interest in the industry.

Experts in the delegation also offered Yili suggestions regarding ranch management, breeding dairy cows and planting forage crops.

During the visit, SDDDC agreed to further cooperation with Yili in improving the quality and security of dairy products across the country.

SDDDC, established by China Agricultural University, Wageningen University, and Royal Friesland Campina, aims to learn some of the latest techniques from the Dutch dairy industry in order to improve the quality of its dairy products in China and promote the development of the dairy industry across the country.

In January, Yili signed a strategic partnership with SDDDC to push forward innovation in the management of dairy producers and to help ensure food security in China.
